In order to become one, you need to clear the Civil Service Test which is conducted once or twice a year depending on the number of openings for the government job. Generally the Civil Service Application Process Stages can be classified in six groups. Each of which are discussed below:

• Online application: to begin with you have to fill up the online application form. Make sure that you fill up the form correctly. Once the application is assed and you clear it, you will be subjected to the next level.
• Online Situational Judgment Test and Behavioral Questionnaire: the first test has to be completed under 30 minutes. For the next one, you will get five days within which you have to submit your answers.
• Online E-tray test: if you are able to successfully clarify the above tests, you will be asked to appear for the online e-tray test. All the required material will be sent over in the email. You need to answer them within 80 minutes after receiving the questions. Don’t worry; you will be given the opportunity to practice some of the questions beforehand. Make the most of it.
• Video interview: here, you will be provided with 8 questions, which you need to answer within 20minutes. The answers have to be video recorded and sent over to the examiner. Take your time to record the answers well. Prepare in advance before recording the interview. If needed, re-record the interview to answer correctly.
• Numerical reasoning tests: if you are applying for a Finance or Commercial role you will be asked to appear for a numerical reasoning test. The test will judge your logical skills and numerical aptitude.

Assessment center: this is the final stage. Once you have cracked the Civil Service Test you will be asked to attend the assessment test. Here the examiners will test your ability to mingle with people, your behavior and attitude towards others, and how well you contribute to the team.
